As a Customer Care Specialist, your primary responsibilities will be getting to know our customers and making their day by helping them find the perfect gift. The ideal candidate will exhibit the ability to drive sales through genuine customer interaction and active listening, as well as be comfortable using technology for point-of-sale transactions and inventory management.
This role is anticipated to begin in early October with some flexibility for the start date. Schedule is set Sunday - Thursday, with scheduled times TBD in the interview (somewhat flexible). Full December availability is required, however we are closed Christmas Day and New Year's Day with shortened hours on Christmas Eve.
Your Responsibilities

Flex your skills as needed working between both of our shops: Cub Shrub and Tigertree.

Ensure customers feel welcomed and prioritized, anticipating their needs and offering support.

Sales floor duties including customer service, point-of-sale transactions, and maintaining store presentation.

Maintain reliability and punctuality by consistently meeting work schedule expectations.

Demonstrate honesty and trustworthiness, taking ownership of mistakes and actively working to improve.

Remaining stationary for periods of time and traversing the store for the duration of the shift.

Occasionally ascend/descend a ladder to access products and materials.

Follow guidelines and best practices to meet quality standards.

Use of computer applications to manage workflow and incoming/outgoing shipments.

Process incoming shipments and prepare items for the sales floor.

Communicate noteworthy information through appropriate channels such as Slack, comm logs, etc

Desire to grow with the role and learn the ins and outs of small business

Previous professional experience managing tasks and time effectively, with a proven ability to demonstrate high attention to detail and recognize/act upon patterns.

Previous retail experience within the last 2 years

Enthusiasm for Tigertree and Cub Shrub products and the ability to showcase this passion to customers

Style presentation that aligns with the brand and fosters a positive shopping experience

Previous experience in packing and shipping

Experience with omnichannel retail
- Ability to commit at least one year if hired (there's a lot to learn!)
